Magnolia River is Gaining Momentum with Key Additions to the Team
Magnolia River hires Darrell Hand and Sidney Thomas. The company provides infrastructure and geospatial solutions , including transmission and distribution pipeline design, engineering, inspection, and project management services.
Hartselle, AL, May 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Darrell Hand, Program Director, is responsible for program management of Pipeline Services. “Since he joined us, Darrell has been an invaluable asset to Magnolia River. He brings an abundance of knowledge to the table with 30 years of natural gas industry experience,” says Ronnie Hoff, Executive Vice President and COO of Magnolia River. “We feel privileged to have Darrell as a colleague and a friend.” Darrell’s core responsibilities at Magnolia River include providing client support, new project development, and providing technical input into the daily operations and QA/QC processes. Darrell also serves as client liaison on specialty projects - particularly with investor owned gas utilities.
Sidney Thomas, Area Director, is charged with business development and strategic planning for Pipeline Services. “With his 20-year career in the natural gas industry and successful history with business development, Sidney was an easy choice for this position,” says Hoff. “Sidney’s eagerness to tackle projects with his best foot forward, bringing forth innovative ideas, a diverse skill set, and creativity every single time make him a great fit at Magnolia River. After graduating from Auburn University in 1980, Darrell Hand began his career at Alabama Gas Corporation (Alagasco). Through his willingness to learn, ability to adapt, and energy to do what it takes to be successful, Darrell continued to be promoted, ultimately to Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Magnolia River, Darrell also performed consulting work for a variety of organizations supporting clients across the United States.
“I have worked with many of the Magnolia River staff in the past, and was excited to have the opportunity to join the family. What we are doing now is setting a new standard for the professional services we provide,” said Darrell.
Prior to joining Magnolia River and moving to North Alabama in 2013, Sidney Thomas lived in the midwest for over 20 years. During this time, he was employed by Vectren Energy. Sidney held several key management positions on various natural gas projects there. Prior to Sidney’s career in the natural gas industry, he was employed by the United States Navy as an Ocean Systems analyst responsible for antisubmarine warfare tracking. Sidney has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Arts in Management.
