A Theatrical Experience at the Church of Scientology
The Nashville Church of Scientology recently hosted an event for the community featuring professional Hollywood voice actors performing a classic pulp fiction story.
Nashville, TN, May 31, 2013 --(PR.com)-- “It was a great experience, and one to remember,” says Pastor Brian Fesler of the Church of Scientology. He is referring to the theatrical show recently performed in his church of the story “Tough Old Man,” written by L. Ron Hubbard in 1950, prior to the founding of Scientology.
The story was brought to life by talented Hollywood voice actors, professional sound effects and intense lighting. "Tough Old Man" is a science fiction story about a man named Moffat who is sent for training under old Keno. Nobody else could keep up with the old man, but Moffat is determined. He powers through the planet's extreme cold and heat and its rocky landscape. But with a twist at the end, Moffat discovers that what it takes to succeed isn’t what he thought.
“This performance was for the community and we were happy to see many new faces who were able to just enjoy a nice show on a Saturday afternoon,” says Fesler. “This has become an annual event, so we are looking forward to next year.”
The performance was brought to Nashville by Author Services, Inc., located in Hollywood, California. Author Services is the publisher for all fiction work of L. Ron Hubbard. Its Golden Age Theater performs a story in the old-time radio style each Saturday and is open to the public.
