Bluetooth Sky Over Le Bourget
Gembloux, Belgium, August 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In collaboration with AWEX and Vo Communication, Alterwave Bluetooth hotspots are installed in the well-known International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget to promote aerospace plus-points of Belgium.
The 47th International Paris Air Show – Le Bourget, which closed on 24 June, has set a new record with more than 153,920 trade visitors, i.e. 12% more than in 2005.
The airshow clearly remains popular with the general public as 160,000 visitors flocked to Le Bourget airfield during the three days open to the public.
The objectives of Awex (Agence Wallonne pour l’Exportation) were to reach the visitors in a different and new way. Following the advices of Vo Communication, they decided to use the Bluetooth technology which perfectly suits the profile of the visitors, who are used to working with new communications technologies and devices such as PDAs and smart phones.
The Belgian pavilion hosted 52 Belgian companies and is equipped with 4 Bluetooth hotspots organized in a LAN (Local Area Network) sending contents to the visitors who are immediately prompted when they arrive nearby.
The content of the animated pictures sent to the visitors is composed of a welcome banner, web addresses of the main associations which could guide the visitors interested by the Belgian aerospace capabilities and expertise: Awex, FIT (Flanders Investment Trade), Brussels Export, Sky Win (Aerospace Competitive Pole of Wallonia), Flag (Flemish Aerospace Group) and Gebecoma (Belgian Aerospace Industries Association).
During 5 days, more than 2000 visitors have the opportunity to receive Vcards and animated picture without any ecological footprint and papers waste. The business community is very responsive to this new communication channel.
