Popular D.C. Comedian Earthquake to Perform Aug. 17 at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino
Dover, DE, June 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Comedian, actor and voice artist Earthquake will perform live in the Rollins Center® for one show on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 8 p.m.
Earthquake’s resume reads like a who’s who of stand-up comedy, having appeared on HBO’s Bill Maher (which made him the first comedian to receive a standing ovation on that show), Howard Stern (with Stern calling him his new favorite comedian), and Chelsea Lately, to name a few.
“The way I approach my show is unique,” said Earthquake. “I don’t have a plan, I just step on stage and it goes from there.” A unique voice, uncommon appeal and with sense and sensibility that will make the brilliant feel dumb, Earthquake continues to shake up audiences all over the world.
Currently, Earthquake is enjoying his run in the circuit, being placed as the headliner for the Royal Comedy Tour. In April, Earthquake appeared on ABC’s The View in a special segment of stand-up comedians, showcased by the cast of The View as their personal favorites. Whoopi Goldberg chose Earthquake, and in front of all of America she relished his “fearlessness.”
He then made an appearance on the popular late night program, TBS’s Conan O’Brien and taped an eagerly anticipated, forthcoming episode of BET’s hit sitcom “The Game.”
“These ain’t jokes!” Earthquake bellows from stage to stage as he reveals truths about himself and others that in any other circumstance may not be a laughing matter. “The essence of comedy is in exposing uncomfortable truths. Finding a way for the public to accept these truths is the art of the craft.”
Tickets are $25-$40 and may be purchased by calling VIP Services at 800-711-5882 or visiting doverdowns.com.
