MD Now Urgent Care, South Florida’s Largest Provider of Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine Continues Expansion in South Florida Opening in Greenacres, Palm Beach County
Greenacres, FL, June 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- MD Now Urgent Care, South Florida’s largest provider of urgent care and occupational medicine services opens, its newest location this week at 6868 Forest Hill Blvd in Greenacres, Florida, on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

This is the company’s seventh center to open in Palm Beach County, with two other locations already open in Broward County and one scheduled to open later this summer in Miami-Dade County. The Greenacres urgent care center will be located at the southwest corner of Forest Hill Blvd and Jog Road in the Riverbridge Plaza Shopping Center.

MD Now Urgent Care of Greenacres has just finished a major re-construction project incorporating their beautiful, trademarked design into the existing structure of a freestanding building at the west end of the Riverbridge Plaza. The new facility provides the same clean, comfortable environment which has become the hallmark of all MD Now Medical Centers.

This newest stand-alone center is conveniently located directly in front of Duffy’s Sports Grill and between KFC and Wendy’s restaurants and will be open the same patient-friendly hours as all of the other MD Now urgent care centers.

MD Now Urgent Care / Walk-in Medical Centers facilities provide their patients walk-in treatment for sudden or unexpected illnesses and injuries that are beyond the scope of a typical primary care practice, but don't require a costly trip to the ER.

Instead of waiting days for a routine doctor’s appointment, or spending hours and thousands of dollars in an emergency department, most MD Now patients can expect to be seen, treated and released within an hour for “life’s little emergencies” - and for a fraction of the price of a the local hospital emergency room or “fast-track” department.

MD Now Urgent Care is a full service urgent care center, providing walk-in urgent care, acute and episodic primary care, occupational medicine, as well as comprehensive healthcare services. The MD Now Greenacres facility will also offer Physical Therapy and select diagnostic imaging as an added convenience to their patients in need of those services.

Appointments aren't necessary and the clinics treat individuals of all ages. MD Now’s patients can be treated, often in less than an hour, for a wide array of conditions like fevers, asthma attacks, flu, upper respiratory infections, sprains, strains, cuts, broken bones and burns. Their services are comprehensive, and include digital x-rays, EKG’s, diagnostic ultrasounds, lab testing, a wide array of physical exams, immunizations, vaccines, physical therapy, occupational medicine, travel medicine and selected primary care services.

MD Now is led by Peter Lamelas, MD, MBA, who, prior to founding MD Now, built a 17 year career as an Emergency Medicine Physician and former Emergency Department Medical Director. "We look forward to meeting the high demand for our community driven and physician directed urgent care services in the Greenacres and Central Palm Beach County area," says Dr. Lamelas, who is also the company’s CEO and Medical Director.

All MD Now Medical Centers’ state-of-the-art medical facilities are open 12 hours a day, 365 days a year – evenings, weekends and all holidays. Most major types of health insurance are accepted, but not required. The new center, like all the others, will always be staffed by at least one on-site, licensed physician and supported by a full medical team.

MD Now Centers are state licensed Urgent Care Centers are nationally accredited as full service (Category I) facilities, as designated by the Urgent Care Association of America.
