The Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization Announces James R. Holt, PhD as the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
The Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization presented James R. Holt PhD the lifetime achievement award for his significant work to make Theory of Constraints the main way. Dr. Holt was a pioneer leveraging distance learning to teach Theory of Constraints around the world.
Bad Nauheim, Germany, June 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Christoph Lenhartz announced in the opening session at the 11th annual Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization conference that James R. Holt PhD was the 2013 recipient of the TOCICO Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Lenhartz said that "James has been at the forefront of TOC education around the world. He broke the constraint of distance by being a pioneer in distance learning. James successfully led the TOCICO through the very challenging financial crisis."
About James R. Holt PhD
James R. Holt is a Professor of Engineering Management at Washington State University. He teaches Organizational Behavior, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering Economics, Simulation, Information Systems, Constraints Management and other special topics. Serving as department head at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Ohio, he holds a BS from Utah State University, an MS from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Holt received the Robert E. Fox “The Race to Excel” Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fifth Annual Continuous Process Improvement Symposium at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
Holt has been recognized for numerous achievements, including his long-standing contributions as the department head of engineering and environmental management at the Air Force Institute of Technology, his impacts on international education and his support of professional students in industry around the world.
Holt is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). He serves on the faculty of Goldratt Schools, on the board of directors for the Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization (TOCICO) and on the board of advisors for Neuland Labs.
He has published more than 150 articles and has guided more than 100 theses, dissertations and masters projects.
