Elizabeth Schartz Named Secretary of Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas

Schartz has been named as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. She previously has served as a Board of Directors member at large since 2008. Her new two-year term began on May 1, 2013.
Schartz is a Partner in Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office and chairs the Firm’s Employment and Labor Practice Group. Her expertise includes litigating discrimination, wage-and-hour, employee benefit, and state-law contract and tort claims; counseling employers on sensitive personnel and complex employment law matters; workplace investigations; employee classification issues; executive compensation, change-in-control, and separation issues; drafting and litigating non-competition and related covenants; and the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Mine Safety and Health Act.
