Classic Holidays Supports Charity to Raise Cancer Awareness
Orlando, FL, June 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Classic Holidays, Australia’s leading resort management company, helped raise awareness for cancer charity Hannah’s Chance by donating the top prize, a Hawaiian holiday.
The Hannah’s Chance Foundation aims to raise valuable funds for medical research into finding a cure for Sarcoma, a particularly aggressive form of cancer, primarily affecting 12-25 year olds, which attacks the connective or supportive tissue which includes bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels and soft tissue. The Foundation is also focused on helping to provide Sarcoma patients and their families with comfort and support once they are diagnosed and throughout treatment.
A joint promotion between Classic Holidays and advertising agency Shop A Docket helped raise nearly $10,000 for the charity. Through Shop A Dockets’ printing and distribution of 120 million coupons into 2500 supermarkets and variety stores, over 100,000 participants entered to win the top prize of a six night holiday to Hawaii for a family of four, inclusive of flights, which was donated by Classic Holidays. In addition to the over 100,000 entries, Hannah’s Chance increased their subscriber base by more than 20,000 helping to raise awareness for their cause.
