The New Online Publication La Respuesta Brings Puerto Ricans in the United States to the Forefront

Chicago, IL, June 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- La Respuesta, a groundbreaking new online publication dedicated to honoring and showcasing the distinctiveness of the U.S. Puerto Rican community, is set to debut to the public on June 11. Directly translating as “the response,” La Respuesta (larespuestamedia.com) is an English-language multimedia platform that will become the sole outlet devoted to reporting on the experiences of Puerto Ricans that have settled in the U.S. for over a century - the “Boricua Diaspora.”

The magazine will include the voices of accomplished artists, political figures, activists, and "everyday" people representing diverse Puerto Rican communities nationally. The magazine has assembled a staff of contributors in Chicago, New York, Miami, Boston, and Providence, RI.

With riveting news articles, thoughtful opinion editorials, dynamic video, and profound photography, the magazine aims to be the central media location for the contemporary Puerto Rican demographic. Through the power of the Internet and social media, the magazine will spark far-reaching conversation and present a relevant platform for a group that has been virtually invisible in mainstream media.

The magazine will serve as a forum of communication and encourages readers to participate and give feedback. The soft launch will be followed by an official launch in August 2013 with simultaneous celebratory events in Chicago, New York and Florida.
