CS3 Technology Rides Their Way in to the Top 3 Organization Fundraisers for Tour de Cure-Tulsa
Tour de Cure - Tulsa was a huge success because of companies like CS3 Technology. Team CS3 raised over $4,500 with 100% participation from employees including riders, volunteers and contributors.
Tulsa, OK, June 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Tour de Cure is more than just a cycling event. It's a life-changing event. A day full of fun and excitement where riders of all levels join forces in the fight to Stop Diabetes® and raise critical funds for diabetes research, education and advocacy in support of the American Diabetes Association. When you ride in Tour de Cure, you take part in something unique. You join the ranks of some of the most passionate people in the country - people who care about cycling, health and, above all, finding a cure for diabetes.
This year the Tulsa Tour de Cure was held on a rainy Saturday morning, June 1, 2013. Team CS3 was out in full force with 6 team riders and the rest of the firm either volunteering or supporting the fundraising efforts, making this the first year for 100% participation. The CS3 team captain and very special “Red Rider”, Brandi Clymer, HR Consulting Manager, coordinated the efforts companywide and led the team to greatness. “The American Diabetes Association and Kathy Brown put on a great Tour de Cure this year. Everyone on the team really enjoyed the event. We had some early morning storms that caused some delays and some rain sprinkles early in the ride but it turned out to be a beautiful and fun filled day. I appreciate everyone’s efforts and participation in the event. It means a lot to me to have such support during an event that means so much to me,” Brandi said.
Overall, CS3 Technology had some very impressive statistics:
· 100% companywide participation
· Sheri Blaho, VP Sales/Marketing, held the number 2 spot out of the Top 10 individual fundraisers in Tulsa, raising $2,626.00
· CS3 Technology finished 3rd in the Top Organization fundraisers in Tulsa and 6th in the overall Team fundraisers, with over $4,500 in donations.
Thousands of people with diabetes participate in Tour de Cure as "Red Riders." Red Riders are the reason for the ride - they are given a jersey to proudly wear on the day of the event. Brandi was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 1995 and began looking for a way to make a personal contribution to finding a cure soon after, finally focusing her efforts with Tour de Cure. She has been a huge supporter / participant of this amazing event since 2005, when she took to her bike, for her first race and began raising money and awareness for this often debilitating disease.
Gary Crouch, President CS3 Technology and one of the riders, said “I am very proud of our team and the efforts they went to in supporting their co-worker, this cause and the community. It is a privilege to help others when we have been given so much ourselves. I am looking forward to next year’s event. We already have ideas on how we can raise even more support.”
