Champlain College Names Jayson Boyers Managing Director of Division of Continuing Professional Studies
Nationally Recognized Institution Appoints Experienced Leader to Grow Department of Online Learning
Burlington, VT, June 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Champlain College (http://www.champlain.edu) a private, baccalaureate institution that offers professionally focused programs balanced by an interdisciplinary core curriculum, has announced that Jayson Boyers will serve as managing director of the Division of Continuing Professional Studies. In this position, Boyers will be responsible for overseeing the growth of Champlain College's award-winning online education presence through the strategic expansion of continuing education programs.
Prior to joining Champlain College, Boyers served as the national division president of The Chef's Academy, the Culinary Division of Harrison College, where he oversaw the preparation of students for marketable careers in culinary arts, pastry arts, and hospitality and restaurant management. Under his direction, The Chef’s Academy provided an environment that fostered students’ passion for culinary arts and hospitality, and a curriculum developed by the most qualified instructors and leaders in the market.
As an award-winning educator and community leader, Boyers received the 40 Under 40 Leadership Award from the Triangle Business Journal in 2011. He is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, and has served on multiple boards of directors for nonprofit organizations throughout his career, including the MLK Montessori School Board and the Greater Raleigh Chamber Board of Advisors. Jayson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Indianapolis with a liberal studies degree and emphasis in business, religion and psychology. He also has a master’s degree in leadership development from Saint Mary of the Woods College.
