Minerva Announces Development of Application for Windows 8
Minerva will expand its multi-screen experience to Windows 8 mobile devices and tablets.
Alviso, CA, June 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Minerva Networks, a leading provider of software solutions for the delivery of television services over broadband networks, announced today that it is expanding support of its award winning multi-screen applications, to include Microsoft Windows 8. The new application will expand Minerva’s iTVFusion user experience to smartphones and tablets, including Microsoft’s Surface and help provide consumers all over the world with a breadth of new features and functionality on Microsoft’s platform. In conjunction with traditional set-top boxes, these mobile applications provide a flexible, cost effective solution for Pay-TV operators wishing to offer full companion screen support and deliver multi-screen services to an ever demanding consumer base that expects to be able to interact and consume content on a variety of devices, inside the home or on the go.
“Adding Windows 8 support will expand the number of devices through which consumers can interact and consume content provided through their service provider, and is consistent with Minerva’s goal of being the most open and flexible service management solution available in the market,” said Jean-Georges Fritsch, Minerva’s EVP of Products.
Windows 8 will join the existing mobile product lines and provide subscribers with a compelling user experience that allows them to browse their electronic programming guide (EPG) and VOD storefront, watch live and on-demand content, as well as control and manage their TV experience. Account and device level content management enables service providers to tailor the user experience based on a subscriber’s package and available content rights.
