Seatrade Acquires Full Range of Quantum Systems
Antwerp, Belgium, August 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Seatrade Reefer Chartering N.V., the world’s largest operator of fully refrigerated vessels, has selected Quantum Business Solutions to provide them with a suite of integrated applications for its worldwide Liner and Break-Bulk operations.
Seatrade is taking this strategic step to dramatically leverage technology and solutions in their business. Their search for an appropriate product and solutions partner was highly detailed and specific process using top consultants and intelligence, which identified Quantum and their suite of products as most appropriate.
The deal will involve users from all Seatrades business and trading areas, incorporating three products from Quantum’s portfolio to configure what is internally termed by Seatrade as the “Quantum-Leap” system.

The suite of applications consists of Quantum’s Q-NVO™ (web based Non-Vessel Operating system) as the core. The Q-NVO™ is a full range ERP with the transactional features well augmented by commercial and planning elements, as well as strong operational and financial modules. The system contains a great many added benefits such as Track & Trace, Work-Flow Management, Bar Code, OCR features, and advanced analytics amongst others.
Seatrade has also contracted Quantum’s state-of-the-art Contribution Management System Q-CMS™ to provides extensive transactional intelligence, yield and results. The Q-CMS™ provides real time decision support from pricing through to trade analytics, budget, planning and results.
The parties also agreed to collaborate in the building of a unique Break Bulk System for Seatrades under-deck and non-liner cargo. The Q-BBS™ uses the same advanced technology and design found in all of the other Quantum systems and will cater to Break-Bulk, Reefer, Rolling Stock, Project, and Container amongst a comprehensive commodity group and operational demand.
