Summertime fun near the Lake Michigan shoreline will be even sweeter this year with the Grand Opening of 12 Corners Vineyards (Winery) located at 1201 North Benton Road, Benton Harbor, Michigan (196 exit 1).

Summertime fun near the Lake Michigan shoreline will be even sweeter this year with the Grand Opening of 12 Corners Vineyards (Winery) located at 1201 North Benton Road, Benton Harbor, Michigan (196 exit 1). The sound of the “Grand Uncorking” will resonate through the expansive and impressive tasting room and occur on June 21, and continue throughout the weekend. Guests will have an opportunity to choose from an array of wine selections, as well as experience a remarkable ambiance with a stellar view of the surrounding grape vineyards and cherry orchards.
The proximity of the winery and vineyards to Lake Michigan creates a unique micro-climate that is ideal for growing fruit and provides 12 Corners Vineyards the opportunity to produce an excellent selection of wine varieties. 12 Corners Vineyards has 115-acres planted with both viniferous and hybrid grapes and Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir are a few of the grape variety selections. Other tantalizing offerings in the near future will include Blueberry, Peach, Cranberry and Cherry wines that are certain to become popular favorites that celebrate the local Michigan region.
In the main floor tasting room, guests can relax in an upscale presence while sampling wine choices at the 70ft bar. Guests will additionally be drawn to the magnificent view from the massive front wall of glass. A conference room is available for bookings and is wired with a state of the art audio visual system that creates a perfect environment for business meetings or special events. The spacious outdoor area accommodates larger venues and weddings.
12 Corners Vineyards opened a tasting room in downtown South Haven, Michigan, at 511 Phoenix Street, in November, 2012. This tasting room is within walking distance to a pristine beach and boat marina and offers an equally pleasurable wine tasting experience.
The winery was created by several partners with agrarian backgrounds. They were seeking to participate in the expanding wine industry along Lake Michigan’s shore, and their goal was to create a vineyard experience that will accentuate all that West Michigan has to offer. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a walk through the vineyards as part of their tasting experience.
The Winery’s name is inspired by its physical location in the “Hamlet” of Twelve Corners, Michigan and which is also incorporated into the winery’s logo.
