AlerTox is a user-friendly kit that detects the presence of allergenic milk proteins in food and drinks and on surfaces. The growing incidence of serious allergic reactions to foods and drinks encouraged Biomedal to develop these milk detection kits; AlerTox is designed to be easy-to-use, accurate, and able to detect low levels of allergenic proteins from milk found in foods and liquids and on preparatory surfaces.
The immune systems of children or adults allergic to milk overreact to the presence of proteins, most of which are either caseins or beta-lactoglobulin.
