Nationally-Recognized Family Physician and Educator, Dr. Walt Larimore, Set to Speak at October Fundraiser

Denton, TX, June 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A prolific author and media personality, Dr. Larimore has been a practicing family physician for over 30 years. Besides volunteering for Mission Medical Clinic, a free health clinic for the poor in Colorado Springs, Dr. Larimore teaches family medicine part-time, holding adjunct clinical academic appointments at the In His Image Family Medicine Residency Program in Tulsa, OK and the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program in Denver, CO.
A sought-after speaker, Dr. Larimore will bring the keynote presentation at Woman to Woman's annual fundraising banquet, October 24, 2013 at the DFW Marriott at Champions Circle just south of Texas Motor Speedway. Dr. Larimore’s most recent health book is 10 Essentials of Happy, Healthy People. He recently wrote two books for kids going through puberty (and their parents). The Ultimate Guys' Body Book: Not-so-stupid questions about your body was published in 2012 and The Ultimate Girls' Body Book: Not-so-stupid questions about your body will be published in 2014.
Since 2010, Dr. Larimore has published four novels. The first two, The Gabon Virus and The Influenza Bomb, were written with his friend Paul McCusker. His first two solo novels, Hazel Creek, and its sequel, Sugar Fork were released in 2012. His best-selling books about his first years in practice as a family physician in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, include Bryson City Tales, Bryson City Seasons, and Bryson City Secrets.
Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center is a Denton, TX, - based non-profit that serves women and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies. The annual fundraising banquet is underwritten by individuals and businesses. There will be an opportunity for each attendee to donate.
