Singing Sands Inn Announces Results of Its May-June Facebook Contest for Couples

Maya Beach, Belize, June 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Singing Sands Inn takes great pleasure in announcing the results of its May-June photo competition for couples on Facebook. Jenelle McGoldrick, of Oakland, Tennessee, has emerged as the undisputed winner of a 3-night vacation for two. Singing Sands Inn takes this time to congratulate her and her wonderful husband and to say that they are immensely looking forward to welcoming them to their world-class resort in Maya Beach, 7 miles north of the popular town of Placencia, Belize.

The contest was launched on May 20, 2013 and ended at 5:00 PM on June 20, 2013. The rules of the contest were simple – contestants needed to enter their favorite photo of themselves and their loved one, along with a short caption that elaborated why they should win. Contestants were encouraged to share their entry with their friends on Facebook in order to get as many ‘Votes’ as possible for their photo. The prize at stake was a 3-night stay for two in a well-appointed beachfront cabana at Singing Sands Inn, as well as breakfast daily, a romantic dinner for two, and airstrip transfers between the Placencia airstrip and Singing Sands Inn.

29 hopefuls submitted their photos for a chance to win, along with stories of why their photo should be voted for. There was a total of 1,842 votes cast by the time the contest ended, after which it was clear that voters felt that Jenelle’s story and photo were the most deserving of the prize. Her caption was short and sweet: "High school sweethearts and parents of 2 celebrating 15 years together and 10 years of marriage this September. This trip would be the icing on my cake." The Management and Staff of Singings Sands are ecstatic that she has her anniversary coming up, and are hoping that she would opt to spend it at their idyllic, award-winning resort in Maya Beach.
