Author Sara B, Lane Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Debut Novel Release
Author Sara B. Lane is launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund the first volume of her debut series The Phoenix.
Chico, CA, June 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- A powerful story of love, revenge, and redemption; The Phoenix follows the story of Elliya, the leader of the Immortal people. Elliya leads her people with the power of her divine birthright. The Council of Elders are tasked with guiding the Phoenix to protect her people, but a corrupting force stirs among them and they find themselves hungry for her power. They sought out a way to steal her power for themselves. When Elliya is caught with her forbidden lover, the Council turns her people against her and sentences her to a true death. Aided by an unlikely ally, Elliya finds herself stripped of the flame of the Phoenix, but alive. Now in the Mortal realm Elliya is given a second chance at life and a chance to reclaim what is rightfully hers.
This is Sara B. Lane’s debut novel, the first in a series of 4. This has been her labor of love for the last five years. It started with a dream. “In this dream a girl sat alone in a movie theater. It was cold, too cold for a theater but she didn’t seem to mind. She was burning, her skin on fire below the surface. The doors opened slightly behind her and she tilted her head to move her ear closer to the soft voice that spoke in a panic.” This was the dream that propelled The Phoenix into being.
Lane’s goal for funding is $2000.00. This will cover the editorial costs, publication costs and more. The Kickstarter campaign page can be found at: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sarablane/the-phoenix-rises.
