Los Angeles, CA, August 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Red Nation Holdings, Inc, and its subsidiary Red Nation Radio are announcing the historic first broadcast of an American Indian radio show in a Top 5 Radio market in the U.S. Red Nation Radio (RNR) has entered into a arrangement with Pacifica Radio's KPFK, FM 90.7 in the Greater Los Angeles area and 98.7 Santa Barbara to begin programming a two hour long show once a month.

The first show will be a three hour live broadcast and can be heard at KPFK on 90.7 FM through both the station's FM broadcast as well as it's Internet simulcast making this a worldwide debut for Red Nation Radio. KPFK's website is www.kpfk.org. Red Nation Radio website is: www.RedNation.com

This is an historic first, both for KPFK and RNR. The launching of Red Nation Radio and its show will be hosted by Joanelle Romero who is of Apache and Cheyenne decent. Red Nation Radio will feature American Indian music, heritage and history and will focus on both presenting live and recorded music as well as feature interviews that will provide both the framework and bookends to begin a whole new conversation with both American Indians and non-Indians. They will be highlighting the environment coming from the first environmentalist’s viewpoint as well as conversations on culture, history, music and arts.

“As American Indian recording artists and in the 6th year of American Indian Grammy category it is time to have a radio show that features American Indian music in the entertainment capital of the world,” quotes Joanelle Romero, “How are we to be taken seriously as recording artists if we are not even heard on public or mainstream radio; Now We Will Be Heard.”

Los Angeles is the home to the largest concentration of Urban American Indians in the country, and has almost a dozen major tribes within the listening range of KPFK. While there have been sporadic attempts in the past to program American Indian radio, it has never been done before in Top 5 Radio market and never before on a powerful FM station that has the potential to reach millions of people at once. Joanelle Romero is the Founder of the Red Nation Celebration and American Indian Heritage Month which was launched in Los Angeles. RNR is planning on rolling out a complete radio schedule and lineup in the near future.
