Boy Band Sensation New Hollow Rocks the Franklin County Fair in Hilliard July 16
Homegrown Pop/Rock Group New Hollow, Called a “Band to Watch for in 2013” by Billboard Magazine, Hails from New Albany.
Columbus, OH, June 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Today, the Franklin County Fair announced this year’s entertainment will feature a free concert by New Albany’s own New Hollow. The pop/rock band has topped the Billboard Hot Singles Sales Chart and performs across the country. The fair will take place July 13-20 at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Ohio, with New Hollow to perform Tues., July 16 at 8:30 p.m. The grandstand concert is free with fair admission.
“We’re excited to bring such a popular group with wide appeal like New Hollow to fairgoers at this year’s Franklin County Fair,” said Emily Gabriel, president, Franklin County Agricultural Society. “The New Hollow concert, which is included in the $5 admission price, will be a highlight of this year’s fair, which features entertainment and fun for everyone.”
Band members Chad, Evan and Mick originally hail from Southern California, Detroit and Dallas respectively, but all moved to New Albany, Ohio and met while attending the same middle school. In 2011, the group became the first-ever unsigned band to top the Billboard Hot Singles Sales Chart. New Hollow has appeared nationwide, opening for American Idol’s David Archuleta and performing the National Anthem at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game, as well as at the Ohio Statehouse for Gov. John Kasich.
The boys are self-taught musicians and multi-instrumentalists, who began playing and composing music together shortly before forming the band. Their blend of arresting vocal harmonies and modern rock rhythms has landed them a spot in a recent Billboard magazine article as one of the “Bands To Watch For in 2013.” Their latest single, “She Ain’t You,” was released this spring.
Track seats for the concert may be purchased for an additional $10 (in addition to fair admission) and are on sale now at https://www.localevelevents.com/events/details/580.
