Brett/Robinson Sponsors the 2013 Alabama Coastal Triathlon and “Tri-It-On” Triathlon

Gulf Shores, AL, June 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Athletes and beach-lovers may want to start training, as the 2013 Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th, at Gulf Shores Public Beach.

The triathlon, sponsored by Brett/Robinson, will begin with a 1.5k swim in the Gulf of Mexico, followed by a 40k bike ride and then a 10k run. As a lighter alternative, the event will also include a “Tri-It-On” Triathlon, which will involve a 300-yard swim, a 9-mile bike ride, and a 2-mile run.

In addition to the actual triathlon, a pre-race dinner, a post-race party, and an awards ceremony will take place at The Hangout. The Hangout will also serve as the main staging area and as the site for the finish line and packet pick-up.

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach is home to a variety of wildlife, plant life, and natural habitats, making the it an ideal and scenic setting for the biking and running portions of the triathlon.
