Houston Home Builder Taylor Morrison Names New Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Houston, TX, June 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Home builder Taylor Morrison has promoted James Ellison to vice president of sales and marketing for the Houston division, the company announced today.
Ellison will succeed Amy Haywood-Rino, who was named president of Darling Homes’ Houston division in April. Previously, Ellison served as area sales manager for the Taylor Morrison Houston division.
“Jim’s sales experience and his managerial track record made him the perfect fit for this expanded role at Taylor Morrison,” said Jonathan White, division president for Taylor Morrison Houston. “Jim’s contributions to the Houston division are numerous and his track record speaks for itself. Ellison has more than 20 years experience managing sales, operations and administration departments. As area sales manager for Taylor Morrison Houston since 2005, Ellison oversaw the growth of the division from a first-time/move-up home buyer company to a luxury homebuilder with communities throughout the Greater Houston Area. He was the recipient of the 2007 Greater Houston Builder’s Association’s Prism Award for Sales Manager of the Year.
Prior to Taylor Morrison, Ellison held sales positions with various homebuilders in the Houston area after a long career as a sales manager for the U.S. Army. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
