Krav Maga Worldwide Chief Instructor Darren Levine Holding a Carjacking/Abduction/Active Shooter Defense Seminar at Krav Maga Orange County’s Irvine Location

Two day seminar in August at Krav Maga of Orange County teaches essential skills for avoiding or escaping harm during a Carjacking, Abduction, or Active Shooter situation.

Orange County, CA, June 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Krav Maga of Orange County (KMOC) will be hosting a Defense Seminar led by Krav Maga Worldwide Chief Instructor Darren Levine. The seminar is designed to give students the tools to protect themselves and escape Carjacking, Abduction and Active Shooter scenarios. It will be a two day seminar held on August 24th and 25th from 9:00a-3:00 pm each day at KMOC’s Irvine location.

According to the FBI’s most recent report on the percent of change in crime, acts of violent crime, murder, aggravated assault and motor vehicle theft are all on the rise over the previous year.

The seminar’s subject matter will include scenarios related to armed carjacking situations, tactics and methods to neutralize an active shooter and anti-abduction techniques. Training will include working in and around vans, cars, and scenario rooms with reality based attacks taken from actual crimes occurring in our communities.

Seminar instructor and 6th-degree black belt Darren Levine has dedicated his life to the safety of others serving as Krav Maga Chief Instructor and also as the Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney. He founded the nonprofit Krav Maga Association of America, Inc. at the personal request of Krav Maga Grandmaster Imi Lichtenfeld. Mr. Levine serves as the Chairman of the Board and U.S. Chief Instructor of Krav Maga Worldwide. He was certified as a Krav Maga instructor in 1981 by the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Wingate Institute of Physical Education and Sport in Netanya, Israel. Mr. Levine has taught Krav Maga to thousands civilians and local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, as well as to military special operation and counter-terror units on an official basis, throughout the United States and abroad.

Darren Levine served as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles starting in 1990. As a prosecutor, he was a senior member of the Crimes Against Peace Officers Section (CAPOS), an elite special trials unit tasked with the responsibility of prosecuting the most violent crimes committed against peace officers. In that position for nearly 13 years, he has prosecuted eight cases involving the murders of on duty peace officers and was entrusted with prosecuting some of the most challenging, complex, and high profile cases in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Currently, he serves as a supervisor in the District Attorney's Office. He has been recognized by receiving many awards, including the Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney of the Year (2003), the National Association of District Attorneys (co-recipient) of the 2004 Heavy Hitter Award, and was named a Distinguished Alumni of Loyola Law School in 2005. Darren continues to extensively teach Krav Maga throughout the world.

Krav Maga Orange County has been providing quality training in Southern California since 1992 and has taught thousands of individuals throughout Orange County. The KMOC instructor staff has over 130 years of combined teaching experience in Krav Maga and our program is the only one with six Black Belt Level Instructors in the County.
