Leonardo Da Vinci in Locarno

A contemporary music concert, created after Leonardo da Vinci's drawings, composed by Emanuel Pimenta, to celebrate the 500 years of the only still existent building by Leonardo, in Locarno, Switzerland.

London, United Kingdom, August 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Italian historian Marino Viganò recently announced an astonishing discovery: the Swiss city of Locarno has the only remaining building designed by Leonardo da Vinci. To celebrate the 500 years of Leonardo's project, the city invited the composer Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta to create a new concert, which will be performed between September 16 and 23, 2007. Pimenta created his new piece based on Leonardo's drawings, which were transposed into virtual environments. The music will last for seven days and will be performed in the most unexpected spaces of the city. The audience will be invited to walk in the city and discover the different sounds. The participation is free and the city will provide a map orienting the audience through the spaces where the music will be performed. The site of the concert is at http://www.asa-art.com/leonardo.html

The event has as associated entities the Alchimarte of Locarno and ASA Art and Technology, of London.
