Thanks to U.S. Veterans and Happy 4th of July
Tampa, FL, July 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- According to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Florida has 700 Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. In honor of Independence Day, let's highlight a local Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Mike Lewis, owner of ABS Air Conditioning and Associated Plumbing, served in the US Navy aboard the USS Nimitz, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, for almost 7 years. He says, “I enlisted in the Navy as a means to pay for college. Back then I viewed it as I sacrificed roughly 7 years of my life to get my education, but now I recognize that much of my character, confidence and drive were developed while in the military. I mean, where else can you become a reactor operator or reactor technician at the age of 21? The military forces you to grow up quickly. Most of us go into the military as 'children' and leave as 'adults' no matter the length of service.”
Mike Lewis asserts that the military has stayed with him throughout his career. He says, “I try to never forget the importance of being dependable. What we do on both the plumbing and a/c side is solve people’s problems. You have to do that all the time, not some of the time, or when you feel like it.”
In support of the U.S. military, ABS Air Conditioning is offering a great deal: $39.95 a/c tune-up for all active duty or retired military personnel. Please call for details.
