Dr. Barber has 30 years experience in the healthcare field. He is the former managing partner of Colorado Springs Cardiology in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Barber specializes in Electrophysiology. His special interests include Juvenile Diabetes, breast cancer awareness and sudden cardiac death awareness. He also consults. Dr. Barber was listed in the Guide to America’s Top Physicians from 2003-2013, The Best Doctors from 2003-2013, Top Doctor in Style Magazine (2011, 2012), and Top Doctor for Executives, Colorado Business Magazine. Dr. Barber is affiliated with the Heart Rhythm Society, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, El Paso County Medical Society and Colorado Medical Society. He obtained a B.A. from Wabash College, a Ph.D. from Loyola University and a M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine. Following a position as Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia, Dr. Barber joined Colorado Springs Cardiologists in 1993 and was Managing Partner until 2009. Since 2012, he has been the Medical Director of the Vascular Center of Colorado. Dr. Barber is married and has one child. In his spare time he enjoys fishing.
