Building Envelope Science Institute Hosts Training and Certification Conference for Building Envelope Assessment and Inspection
Building Envelope Science Institute will be hosting a training and certification seminar for Building Envelope from October 20 – 23, 2013 in Orlando, Florida.
Gainesville, FL, July 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Building Envelope Science Institute (BESI) will hold a training and certification conference on building envelope on October 20-23, 2013 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel located in Orlando, Florida. BESI offers comprehensive training and certification for the assessment and inspection of building envelope issues, including but not limited to an overview of building envelope components, methods of testing for problems, and how to write a scope of work.
These are the most comprehensive courses offered and cover topics such as assessment and identification techniques, above- and below-grade waterproofing, expansion joints, sealants, and leak investigation and detection among other things.
The courses for this conference will be divided into two levels over three days, one level of training and one level of certification. Building Envelope Trained (BET-1) will cover the basics of the building envelope and how the components are brought together to create a cohesive unit. Building Envelope Inspector (BEC-2), which includes BET-1, will then delve a little deeper into identification techniques of building envelope issues, and will enable graduates of the course to comfortably perform residential and commercial inspections.
About BESI: The mission of Building Envelope Science Institute, Inc. (BESI) is to provide the highest quality of training and certification programs; resources as well as overall knowledge in successfully constructing, maintaining, and restoring building envelope construction; investigation and analysis of new products and materials which will further develop and enhance the building envelope construction; and continuing the development and formal certification for construction industry practitioners.
