Written in Stone joins Smashwords in its July Summer sales with discounted pricing on 4 of its books.
Astoria, NY, July 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Authors Maura Stone and Cheri Blossum, published by Written in Stone, decide to join Smashwords' July Summer Sale for their books.
"It's an excellent way to get our names out there," said Ms. Stone. She agreed to cut the price of her book, Arc of Passion, by 50% to $3.00. "I also allowed a 25% discount to my recently published books, The Complete eDating Advice Comedy Series for Men and for Women. It was formerly $19.99 and with the discount, $14.99, a $5 savings."
Author Cheri Blossum recently had published her premiere novel, "Secrets and Seduction." She said, "I've mixed feelings about reducing the price from $4.99 to $3.74. First off, the book's only been out a month. Second of all, I'm getting some wonderful 5-star reviews. Selling such a good book for only $3.74 is unconscionable."
Maura Stone was recently showcased on NPR's The Catskill Review of Books on February 21 as a specialist of self-publishing from an author's and a publisher's point of view. "There's an abyss between receiving amazing reviews, critical acclaim and awards for my work and reaching readers," she said. "Hopefully the Smashwords sale would induce readers to purchase my books."
