Medical Conferences International, Inc. (MCII) to Host Two Skin Cancer Certification Programs in Los Angeles August 16-17, 2013

Medical practitioners from all specialties will gather at the JW Marriott- LA Live the third weekend in August for two-day CME accredited certification workshops

Boca Raton, FL, July 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Attendees at the Primary Skin Cancer Medicine Certification will learn how to conduct a full head to toe examination, differentiate between benign and suspicious lesions, and will practice performing biopsies to learn how to diagnose skin cancer. Speakers will include Paul Elmslie, MBA; Janice Johnston, MD; and Adam I. Riker, MD, FACS.

This hands-on training certification program will also teach how to treat skin cancer, explain the basic skills needed to identify and treat skin cancers, as well as the business and billing aspect to skin cancer medicine. Proper patient awareness and communication will also be covered.

“After taking the primary skin cancer course I was able to incorporate a skin cancer screening program in my general family practice,” stated Gaylee McCracken, MD of Pepper Pike, OH, who completed the skin cancer certification in 2011.

At the skin cancer surgery certification course, attendees will experience a hands-on practical workshop with a goal of providing medical practitioners with the confidence and skills needed to practice basic skin cancer treatments.

The skin cancer surgery course objectives include wound closure, suturing technique and know tying, dog ear correction, full-thickness skin grafting, among other topics. Adam Riker, MD, FACS will be speaking and presenting.

The Skin Cancer Foundation states that skin cancer is now the most common form of cancer in the United States, with more than 3.5 million diagnoses each year.
