Ken DeRouchie Band 4th CD to be Released July 12th 2013
The 8 piece Soul/R&B/Funk Ken DeRouchie Band is set to release their 4th full length CD titled "Muse" at their gala CD Release Party on Friday July 12th 2013 at the world famous Portland club, Jimmy Mak's (www.jimmymaks.com). The CD is comprised of 15 songs and features 2 time Grammy nominated drummer Steve Moretti, Portland vocal legend LaRhonda Steele, Muddy award winners Jeff Knudson, Alex Shakeri and Rae Gordon as well as Gavin Bondy of Pink Martini.
Portland, OR, July 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Ken DeRouchie Band is releasing their 4th full length CD titled “Muse” on July 12th 2013 at a CD release party at world famous Jimmy Mak’s located at 221 NW 10th Ave. Portland, OR.
The CD contains 15 songs, recorded in 2 different studios and features many of Portland’s top R&B and soul players including Portland phenom singer LaRhonda Steele, Jeff Knudson (muddy award winning guitarist from Lisa Mann and her Really Good Band), Rob Busey on Bass (Robbie Laws Band), Alex Shakeri (Muddy award winning keyboardist with The Insomniacs), 2 time Grammy nominated drummer Steve Moretti (Touring drummer with such acts as Rosemary Clooney, Toni Tennille, Diana Krall and many others), as well as guest artists like Gavin Bondy from Pink Martini on Trumpet, Marc Hutchinson on Sax, Rae Gordon and Tracy Klas on background vocals, Mark Steele on Keys.
DeRouchie says of this new CD, “this project has taken a long time to finish but the end result is the best record I’ve ever done. I’m really proud of the song writing, the musicianship, the production and overall feel and sound of this record.”
The CD release party for this new release is also featuring some great guest performers including Jim Fielder, a founding member of Blood, Sweat and Tears, Mel Kubik, touring member of Quarterflash, Dave Melyan, Drummer for The Insomniacs and Suburban Slim, the incredible vocalist Arietta Ward and Tenor Sax player Marc Hutchinson and Alto Sax player Ben Fowler.
