Lapels Dry Cleaning Franchisee Perseveres in the Face of Grief
Sudbury, MA Lapels store stays open with the help of fellow franchisees and Pashoo St. Fleur’s determination.
Hanover, MA, August 29, 2007 --(PR.com)-- When Pashoo St. Fleur eagerly opened his brand new Lapels Dry Cleaning franchise at 525 Boston Post Road in Sudbury, MA last November, little did he know what fate had in store for him and his family.
In May 2007, less than six months after starting his fledgling enterprise, St. Fleur received word that his beloved mother, Yvonnia Belotte, had succumbed to complications of an earlier stroke. St. Fleur and his family coped with their grief, traveling to Montreal, Canada where their mother had been hospitalized.
Six short weeks later, St. Fleur’s father, Paul Lubin St. Fleur, passed away at a hospice in Woburn, MA. Once again St. Fleur, his four sisters (including State Representative Marie St. Fleur), and his brother mourned.
Recalls St. Fleur, “I spoke with my brother in Haiti the day of my father’s funeral. Needless to say, I was shocked to receive a phone call from Haiti on July 2, informing me that my brother, Yvon Bellotte, had passed away in his sleep during the night.” Yet again the family grieved.
Numb with grief and reeling from his losses, St. Fleur persevered. “I couldn’t have kept my store open without the help of Ming Dong, the owner of the Lapels franchise six miles down the road in Concord, MA. Ming contacted others from Lapels to stay at my store and fill in so that the store could remain open. He was very helpful and no one was paid to help out.”
Determined to carry on and ensure the future success of his Lapels store, Pashoo St. Fleur would like the Sudbury community to know that he is open full time: Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
