William Peace University Names ’07 Alumna Lara Lee King Director of Student Leadership and Service
Four-Year Baccalaureate University Promotes Lara Lee King from the Office of Student Services to Lead the Institution’s Leadership and Service Efforts
Raleigh, NC, July 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Lara Lee King has been promoted to serve as the director of student leadership and service for the Office of Student Services. In her new position, King will be responsible for working directly with university organizations and student groups including the Student Government Association, Peer Mentors and the Class Council, among others. Additionally, she plans to bring an emerging leadership series to first-year students of William Peace University, extend the institution’s local community service efforts and reintroduce fall and spring alternative break trips.
Having graduated from the institution in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies and a concentration in psychology, King was hired as coordinator of The Loyalty Fund, William Peace University’s annual campaign for contributions. She later transitioned into the admissions office and focused on outreach to prospective students. Quickly growing in her career, King was promoted to director of student activities, where she worked closely with the institution’s current student body prior to assuming her new role.
