Operation Coexist Announces Unplugged Show Raising Money for At-Risk Youth and Promoting Healing Though Music
Operation Coexist will be hosting their first ticketed event at 7 PM on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at The Hideaway Cafe and Recording Studio in downtown St Petersburg to benefit music therapy programs in local hospitals and music programs in local school districts.
St. Petersburg, FL, July 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Continuing their mission to improve the quality of life through the healing power of music for at-risk youth, Operation Coexist will be hosting their first ticketed event at 7 PM on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at The Hideaway Cafe and Recording Studio in downtown St Petersburg.
Featuring local artists and national headliners, such as Chris Nathan from Nashville, TN, the evening will include live audio and video recording which will later be released on DVD. Chris Nathan recently licensed five songs with MTV/HYPE and has since had major commercial success across the world with music and is also featured in shows like MTV's "The Real World.” The show will raise awareness of the organizations dedication to healing through music and ultimately funding for music therapy programs for at-risk youth.
Local favorites include Jeremy Thomas and Justin Vilardi from Paint The Town Red and John Holt from Danfield. They will perform alongside Chris Nathan, who have all donated their time and talent to support the Operation Coexist mission. A student from The St. Petersburg Music Factory will also play a short set of original music for the gathering of music enthusiasts and community leaders alike.
Operation Coexist was founded and established in December 2012 by Katie Talbert. Talbert plans to expand the organization on a national level stating, “I lead this organization with the mentality of thinking global and acting local. I love utilizing local and national talent to help our youth by showing the true power music has of bringing people together and changing the world.”
