Combined Artists Studios produces audio, video, and text programming for television, radio, newspapers, and magazines. Since 1990, Combined Artists has produced and distributed the Distant Replay sports television show and several other TV series and specials.
Combined Artists owns Reach Entertainment, a large music library that consists of more than 40,000 masters on over 75 classic labels including RKO/Unique Records, Boardwalk Records, and Applause Records. Reach also produces new music through its Blue Diamond Records label.
Combined Artists was formed in Englewood, New Jersey in 1990 and eventually established in Palmdale, California, where Cannon was the Redevelopment Director and was instrumental in assisting the growth of Combined Artists throughout the 1990's. Cannon succeeds Combined Artists founder Thomas Ficara, who becomes Chairman of the company and remains active in the creative and acquisition portions of the company. Ficara created early cable TV channels in the 1970's, Pay Per View in the 1980's, home video programs in the 1990's, and seminal IPTV efforts for the past 15 years.
"I have known Curtis Cannon for 20 years and have always found him to be a forthright, talented, organized executive," Ficara explained. "I feel honored and very fortunate that he saw fit to joining Combined Artists as it embarks on its most ambitious and exciting era of Internet program production," said Ficara.
