Clearstream International Achieves High Performance Pricing Using GAIN
AIM Software, a global provider of data management business applications for the financial industry, today announced that Clearstream International has gone live with an upgrade of GAIN from AIM Software. The new solution enables fast performance for the daily pricing of over 700.000 records in less than 20 minutes.
Vienna, Austria, July 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Clearstream International, the international central securities depository (ICSD) and part of the German Stock Exchange Group, manages, secures and administers the securities of its clients. GAIN is used since 2009 by Clearstream International as a central pricing hub and takes over the daily pricing of over one million securities based on an extensive set of rules and the integration of more than ten pricing sources.
Due to the high market volatility, it became necessary for Clearstream International to improve the timeliness, coverage and quality of prices and to further concentrate additional securities into its central pricing hub. One of the main goals of the project was to include 200.000 German financial instruments into GAIN.
Milan Rippel, department manager of ICSD Core Product Design at Deutsche Börse Services said: "In addition, we have extended the rating and pricing normalization in order to perform cleansing and scrubbing for additional data fields, for example further rating information from the providers S&P, Fitch and Moody's are now processed by GAIN."
As a result, the morning price cycle creates about 700.000 golden copy prices based on two million raw prices in less than 20 minutes. The performance of the platform allows Clearstream International to onboard further instruments for centralized pricing in GAIN.
“Firms are placing renewed emphasis on centralizing pricing activities into a single platform like GAIN," explains Josef Sommeregger, Global Head of Business Development and Sales at AIM Software. “This upgrade illustrates the high performance of GAIN for centralizing the pricing activities of Clearstream International. With the need for more operational efficiency, improved responsiveness and consistent quality across all business lines, a targeted business application like GAIN delivers demonstrable business outcomes with a fast go-to-live capability and a lower TCO.”
