Students Against Violence Everywhere Welcomes New Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary to Executive Committee

National Nonprofit Appoints Four Members to Lead Board of Directors

Raleigh, NC, July 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) (http://www.nationalsave.org), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing violence in schools and communities through promoting student involvement, education and service opportunities in efforts to provide safer environments for youth, has announced the selection of four new members to its executive committee board of directors. Jim Wise, chair; Alex Brown, vice chair; Andrew Raymond, treasurer; and Anne Marie Jasinowski, secretary, will begin their terms on Monday, July 1. In their positions, each executive committee member will be responsible for providing thoughtful leadership and guidance to SAVE chapter advisors and student members across the country, as well as leading other board members in advancing the organization’s mission and vision.

Jim Wise
Wise has been actively involved with SAVE since 1997 when he became the first advisor for the SAVE chapter at Eastern Alamance High School in Mebane, N.C. Since that time, Wise has been actively involved with SAVE’s National Youth Advisory Board and was named SAVE National Advisor of the year in 2004. Additionally, he received the “Inspiration in Prevention” award from the National Crime Prevention Council. Wise earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A social worker at Chapel Hill High School since 2005, Wise has more than 24 years of experience in his profession.

Alex Brown
With an extensive background in accounting, finance, and information technology, Brown works as a pricing and investment specialist for IBM in its Raleigh office. Brown earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Virginia Tech and his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Andrew Raymond
Raymond has more than seven years of accounting and auditing experience and works as a CPA for Dixon Hughes Goodman, a nationally recognized accounting firm, in its Glen Allen, Virginia office. He received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Miami University of Ohio and later earned his master’s degree in accounting from Indiana University. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).

Anne Marie Jasinowski
Possessing a unique background in strategic and visual communications, Jasinowski spent more than five years as a communications, marketing, and branding consultant, where she created and implemented high profile campaigns for public sector clients at Booz Allen Hamilton. She is pursuing her master’s degree in social design at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
