Energy Africa Conference to be Held at Colorado School of Mines on November 7-8, 2013

Denver, CO, July 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Access to affordable, reliable and clean energy supply is essential to Africa’s economic growth and human development. Overall, Africa has a creaking energy infrastructure resulting in high dependence on inefficient and expensive diesel generators. Economic growth in these countries has not received its full potential due to lack of a reliable energy supply to support such growth. Even more disheartening, most African countries devote a large portion of their budgets to importing diesel for their generators spending money that could be used to develop local energy resources and help create vibrant economies.

The Energy Africa Conference to be held at Colorado School of Mines from November 7-8, 2013, is a collaborative effort among universities, research organizations, businesses and individuals to bring together business executives and thought leaders from the public, non-government organizations and research institutions to dialog, collaborate, encourage and support the work needed to stimulate domestic markets for gaseous and renewable energy sources. It is a venue for fostering and inspiring local and international entrepreneurs to initiate and support sustainable power systems and increase economic growth and prosperity.

It is anticipated that as more effort into energy research continues, better and cheaper ways of generating energy will be developed to leap-frog the current fossil-fuel based infrastructures which have adversely affected the environment.
