Normal Gadgets Donates Cell Phones Collected Through Bloomington/Normal Residents Giving
Bloomington, IL, July 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Normal Gadgets has collected donated cell phones from Bloomington/Normal residents and have now presented the phones to Mid Central Community Action and it’s program Countering Domestic Violence(CDV)/Neville House.
Early in the year Bloomington/Normal residents were asked to donate gently used cell phones and broken cell phones to Normal Gadgets, the local smartphone repair shop. These donations were divided between accepting them for two groups – Neville House for domestic victims and for Cell Phones for Soldiers.
25 cell phones were refurbished and presented to Neville House this past week.
Angie Ballantini, who owns Normal Gadgets, along with her husband Terry Ballantini, presented the cell phones to Countering Domestic Violence (CDV)/Neville House. (*See accompanying picture.)
“A 911 cell phone can mean the moments between life and death in a violent relationship.” Said Angie Ballantini from Normal Gadgets. “We understand the importance for communications by providing these cleaned, repaired donated cell phones. Thank you to the citizens of Bloomington/Normal for bringing them to our store allowing this compassionate donation.”
Phones and components that could not be refurbished were dismantled and responsibly recycled to reclaim materials.
