Kalamazoo, MI, July 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Abuse survivor and singer/songwriter, Ashley Daneman, brings her new jazz/folk-influenced recording project to Kickstarter. The album, “Beauty Indestructible,” comes out of Daneman’s journey from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder to health and promises to bring inspiration. Her seven-piece band begins recording the original music in New York City in just two weeks.

This album sends a message that an indestructible beauty lives in all people. That, no matter what happens, a human life is redeemable. Daneman credits her faith and excellent mental health care in her recovery. The title track, “Beauty Indestructible,” Daneman says, “I write this for all those who are suffering. For those whose outward appearance, behaviors, or circumstances say that they are less than human. I say to them...I see you and I will see your core beauty, even if you yourself cannot see it.”

In line with Kickstarter.com guidelines, artists have a set number of days to raise all the funds, or the project receives nothing. Daneman’s album has a 19-day fundraising window, from start to finish. If the allotted budget ($13,701 US) isn’t raised before July 27, all pledges are cancelled and the album will not be funded. With just 12 days left to fund, the process is testing both the online fundraising model and the singer’s faith.

Daneman has made Kalamazoo her home for the last three years after living in New York City and earning a master of music degree from Manhattan School of Music. She performs both locally and nationally with her band which includes her husband, Benje Daneman, on trumpet.

Ashley Daneman’s Beauty Indestructible kickstarter project runs through July 27, 2013 11:00am EST. If the goal isn’t met by the end of the run, then no funds change hands. Monies raised through Kickstarter will be used to pay for the recording studio, the musicians, CD duplication, and marketing costs.
