StudentFilmmakers.com, an online resource and creative community bringing together students, educators, and professionals in the film and digital media industries, will launch its new print publication, studentfilmmakers, at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2006 trade show in April.
New York, NY, December 29, 2005 --(PR.com)-- StudentFilmmakers.com, an online resource and creative community bringing together students, educators, and professionals in the film and digital media industries, will launch its new print publication, studentfilmmakers, at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2006 trade show, in April, 2006. The free magazine already has hundreds of subscribers and will be distributed in various cities around the US.
Since its launch, StudentFilmmakers.com has been a constant presence at NAB trade shows and was made a media partner at the recent 2005 NAB Post Plus New York trade show at the New York City Javits Convention Center.
Chris Brown, the National Association of Broadcasters Vice President of Conventions and Expositions, said of the relationship, "We found Welch Integrated, Inc.'s StudentFilmmakers.com to be one of the most effective tools available to market the launch of our new show, NAB's Post Plus NY. We saw immediate and tangible results and would highly recommend it to others looking to tap this demographic."
The studentfilmmakers magazine is published by Kim E. Welch, Founder/Director of StudentFilmmakers.com and Founder/CEO of parent company, Welch Integrated, Inc. It is an educational resource dedicated to encouraging and supporting new and aspiring film and video makers of all ages around the world. The new trade publication will feature a monthly column written by David Mullen of the American Society of Cinematographers, whose credits include Northfork, Shadowboxer, and Akeelah and the Bee.
The NAB show is the world's largest annual electronic media show. This year, NAB 2006 will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV, from April 24 to 27 and will attract over 100,000 professionals in television, film and radio and 1,400 exhibiting organizations from 130 countries around the world.
"While NAB itself is a broadcast trade association, the NAB show covers the entire digital media spectrum, with film and video being at the very center of that marketplace," said Mr. Brown. "It is great to be associated with StudentFilmmakers.com and their new publication, particularly given that the ranks of independent and student filmmakers continue to grow exponentially and are helping drive innovation."
