Northern Indiana Motorcyclists Top $52,000 for Cure

Riders in South Bend, Indiana help fight childhood brain tumors by raising money for a cure.

Asheville, NC, July 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Motorcyclists in the Hoosier state raised $52,652 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation at the Northern Indiana Ride for Kids on July 14.

Ten young brain tumor survivors attended the event in South Bend with their families. WNDU news anchor Kevin Lewis emceed the program.

“I heard about [Ride for Kids] and my family told me I had to come, not only for me, but to try and show these kids that there is a future,” said Patrick, a two-time brain tumor survivor. “It’s tough, but you just have to keep going moving forward.”

Making life better for these Ride for Kids Stars is the reason motorcyclists across the country ride for the PBTF, which funds medical research and family support programs to help eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors.
