Creta Maris Green Team Take Action to Protect the Environment
With the ecological and social actions of Creta Maris Green Team - environmental group of Creta Maris Beach Resort, organized yesterday July 15, 2013, cleaning and tree preservation, the responsibility of which is under the Municipality of Hersonissos.
Hersonissos, Crete, Greece, July 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Team's goal was to help improve the image displayed to tourists and to protect the environment.
The activity which has taken place along the main road "Hersonissos - Heraklion", included dismantling the grass of the road, garbage picking, and whitewashing the trunks of the trees to protect them from the insects and the sunburn during the summer months.
Creta Maris Green Team, strives to spread environmental awareness and encourage the residents of Crete to contribute all they can to maintain a clean environment. The Green Team’s mission is to support the Region of Crete, the Region of Heraklion and Heraklion Regional Municipalities by contributing towards activities related to environmental protection, such as cleaning public areas, beaches, planting trees etc.
