Mims Distributing Company Named a Top Green Business in the Triangle for Second Consecutive Year
Award-Winning Beer Distributor Honored by Triangle Downtowner Magazine for Outstanding Energy Efficiency Efforts.

Leaders of Mims Distributing have increased efforts to make the company greener since moving to a newly renovated facility in 2011. The building boasts one of the largest private solar rooftop systems in Wake County, featuring a photovoltaic rooftop net metering system that allows the company to collect and utilize solar power onsite, which offsets 30 percent of the building’s energy needs. The company has been able to ensure optimum quality for its products by offering several climate-controlled storage and loading areas, as well as incorporating energy-efficient high performance insulation and installing cooling and lighting systems.
