Orlando, FL, July 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Turning Point Enrichment, Inc. announces the participation of its President & CEO Gertrude J Chapman to render her service, as a faith-based leader in the community.
This is a monumental event for the Orange Branch of the NAACP, because this is the first time in its 104 year history that the National Convention will be meeting in Orlando, FL. It is expected to draw 4,000 delegates from across the country.
NAACP President, Kran Riley, of the Orange Branch is hoping for an increase of membership through the added visibility of hosting the National Convention in Orlando, FL.
According to Jeff Kunerth of the Orlando Sentinel, “It comes at a time when the nation’s focal point is on the Zimmerman trial and the U.S. Supreme Court taking away segments of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.” The National Convention theme, “We Shall Not Be Moved,” is focusing on the progress of civil rights.
