Go Green Run – For a Greener Bengaluru

Bangalore, India, July 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Go Green Run will cover a distance of 10 kilometres, starting from Sarjapura, close to the Decathlon sports shop. This 10K run will flag off at 7:00 am on July 20, 2013.

Go Green Run will cover the 10-kilometre perimeter around Sarjapura, and finish at Champions Ground.

This community run is unique, and different from other marathons (or community runs) in three aspects.

Firstly, participation is open to individuals as well as relay teams. This means, companies can send employees to run in relays. The relay-team size can be four or six, and these individuals will cover the 10K distance cumulatively. Secondly, runners can wear personalized t-shirts with a logo of their company. And thirdly, the organizers will plant a sapling for every registered participant in the event.

The general belief is that this run is also a unique opportunity to bring awareness about the environment to everyone in Bengaluru. It’s also meant to inspire professionals in Bengaluru to make Namma Bengaluru a little more greener.
