River Falls Bacon Bash Announced

River Falls, WI, July 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Croix Valley Foods, working in conjunction with the River Falls, Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, has announced plans for the first annual River Falls Bacon Bash, a community celebration focused on all things bacon. Thousands of bacon lovers from the upper Midwest are expected to converge in River Falls for this inaugural, one-day festival. Young and old are invited to taste a variety of bacon-inspired dishes, partake in pig-themed activities including pig races, an Amateur Bacon Cook-off, live music, local micro-brewed beer tastings and much more.

The 2013 Bacon Bash will feature a dozen restaurants/food vendors serving dishes ranging from bacon-wrapped delights to ice cream. Some 40 merchandise vendors will promote their unique bacon/pig inspired products including specialty sauces, novelty items and all things bacon that put a “twist” on marketplace shopping.

The event will be held Sunday, Sept 8th from 11:00am-4:00pm in Downtown River Falls, WI on E. Elm St.

Food vendors will be serving bacon-themed dishes where a People's Choice award will be presented for the public's favorite. The Bacon Bash has been listed as an automatic qualifier for the World Food Championships, affording the winners of both the People's Choice Award and the Amateur Bacon cook-off an invitation to compete this November at the World Bacon Championships in Las Vegas, NV.
