Sue Emery of Emery Benefit Solutions Joins the National Association of Health Underwriters Small Business Legislative Task Force
The National Association of Health Underwriters, an organization of health insurance agents, brokers and other professionals developed specialty task force units to tackle the complicated legislative environment facing agents, consultants and businesses.
Auburn Hills, MI, July 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Sue Emery of Emery Benefit Solutions, LLC in Auburn Hills, MI joined the Legislative Task Force in its Small Business specialty for 2013-14 membership year.
"I'm always excited to be a part of such a dynamic organization as NAHU. But certainly especially thrilled to be part of the legislative area once again at a time when our members are becoming more critical to employers and consumers," Sue said. "We help consumers obtain and use one of the most essential services that contribute to their quality of life. When a spouse is sick or a child is in pain, it is the health plans we sell and service that cures the illness and eases the pain. Consumers now more than ever need our expertise in choosing the right plan. What we do simply can't be done by a website, a distant bureaucrat or government manual. Our focus over the next year will be not only to demonstrate this value but to enhance it."
"We're on the front line of health care and it is important that we make a big difference," added Sue. "We will push for the passage of sensible health care reforms such as refundable tax credits which will help insure more Americans, we will help improve and spread the word about important coverage such as long-term care insurance, and we will continue to fight mandates and other onerous legislation that make health insurance more expensive for everyone."
The National Association of Health Underwriters represents more than 100,000 professional health insurance agents and brokers who provide insurance for millions of Americans. NAHU is headquartered in Washington, DC. For more information, visit our web site at www.nahu.org.
