Bay & Bay Transportation Names Virginia Beach-Based Jeff Lloyd Driver of the Month for June 2013
Jeff Lloyd was chosen as Bay & Bay Transportation's Driver of the Month for excellence in quality transportation solutions.
Rosemount, MN, July 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Bay & Bay and D&T Driver of the Month program recognizes and rewards top performers in the company. These are the drivers with impeccable safety, over 10,000 miles logged for the month, and who shine as individuals and set a great example as ambassadors of the brand.
“Jeff consistently meets all the criteria of Driver of the Month and goes out of his way to help us out,” commented Driver Manager Rob Steinke.
Jeff Lloyd began his career as a Maryland police officer. One of his primary roles in the department was as a Nationally Certified Accident Reconstructionist. After 25 years he retired from the Maryland Police and began trucking full time.
“I appreciate being selected as Driver of the Month,” says Lloyd about receiving the award from Bay & Bay Transportation in June.
Lloyd is a Maryland native who has been with Bay & Bay Transportation since July 2012. “The part of my job I enjoy most is driving over the road,” he says. Lloyd has a 31-year-old son who is currently stationed in Bangor, Washington and serves on a nuclear sub in the US Navy.
Steinke also says of Lloyd, “Jeff is a well-rounded professional driver. He holds his composure when the times get tough and he is courteous. Jeff is always aware of his HOS and communicates with us when there may be an issue to ensure all loads he touches are on time. Jeff is always aware of his surroundings and has not had any safety violations.”
Lloyd will receive a $100 gift card for his service as well as be featured on the “Wall of Fame” at Bay & Bay Transportation headquarters in Rosemount, MN. He will also be added to the pool of candidates for the Driver of the Year, which is awarded in early January.
