The Monmouth County Underdogs Announces Husky House Rescue as a Donation Recipient
Neptune City, NJ, July 26, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Monmouth County Underdogs is proud to announce the selection of Husky House as one of the rescue organizations that will receive a portion of funds raised at our upcoming event, “The Power of Positive Training with Victoria Stilwell.”
“The Power of Positive Training” is a two-day seminar hosted by the Monmouth County Underdogs, a registered 501(c)3, and The Inner Dog, LLC. The event is taking place on October 19-20, 2013 at Brookdale Community College. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to help local rescue organizations like Husky House.
In order to be considered to be a recipient, the rescue group’s philosophy must align with The Monmouth County Underdogs' mission of enriching the lives of dogs by practicing positive, reward based training techniques as well as not discriminating against bully breeds.
Husky House, located in Matawan, NJ, is run by one woman who relies on the support of volunteers to assist in her efforts of rescuing, sheltering, caring and the adopting of stray, abandoned and unwanted animals in the Tri-State area. They are also dedicated to furthering the public's education concerning the issues of proper pet care and the importance of spaying and neutering all dogs and cats alike. They have partnered with a positive reinforcement trainer to offer classes to help with this mission. Although, Husky House is dedicated to helping abandoned Siberian Huskies, they do not discriminate and help all breeds, including mixed breeds. The donation from this event they receive will go towards the maintenance of their shelter facility and veterinary care.
Husky House is the second of three rescue organizations to be announced as a donation recipient from this event.
