With more than nine years of experience in the homebuilding industry, Hergenrader began his career with Centex Homes after graduating from NC State University with a Master of Science in civil engineering. Prior to joining Ashton Woods Homes Raleigh in 2012, Hergenrader spent four years as a homebuilder for David Weekley Homes, specializing in building higher-end homes.
